Guest Blogging: Gimmick or Good? – Youngblood #1

Today’s “Gimmick or Good” column for CBR’s Comics Should Be Good focuses on what many consider to be one of the worst comics of all-time: Rob Liefeld’s Youngblood #1. This comic was the flagship title for Image Comics when the publisher launched in 1992. Today, Image is one of the most successful publishers in the industry, with titles like Walking Dead, Saga, The Manhattan Projects, East of West, Savage Dragon, Spawn, etc., but few give credit to Liefeld and Youngblood. Am I one of the only ones to give the “Ishtar” of comics a positive review? You’ll just have to click over to find out.
