As Marvel Studios has been telling us, “it’s all connected.” This was best on display when a Hydra takeover of S.H.I.E.L.D. from Captain America: The Winter Soldier became the major plot point on television’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. So with this week’s debut of Agent Carter, which is set in the “Golden Age” era of Marvel Comics, for ComicBook.com I thought I’d list some of the best characters from the World War II era that could believably connect to the modern age of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So that means a spotlight on such titles as The Invaders, Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandoes and others.
