Guest Blogging: The Garden and the Wilderness – Walking Dead (Part III)

Part three of my analysis of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead series is up and ready for you to read on the Sequart Research & Literacy Organization’s web site. In this ongoing series, which runs every other Friday on Sequart, I look at “garden and wilderness” themes in Kirkman’s wildly popular comic book series – i.e. how the characters’ desires for a safe “paradise” from the post-apocalyptic zombie-infested wilderness is often tripped up by human nature’s frailties. Today’s post looks at issues #13-19, the beginning of the “prison saga,” probably Walking Dead’s most famous arc.

Thanks as always to the awesome people at Sequart, who provide me with this outlet to talk about other comic books beyond the world of Spider-Man.
